Perfect Plaster, by Caromal Colours is a great light weight plaster medium that can be used in a variety of ways. It’s a great product to use on walls, to give the look and feel of a real plaster finish. Used thick or thin, textured or smoother, you can create and achieve the look perfect for your space. If you can spread peanut putter or use a paint roller, you’ll be able to create a pretty plaster finish on your walls.
The Perfect Plaster is my ‘go to’ plaster for adding light plaster effects to my furniture finishes, and its an absolute MUST HAVE for using when you create art panels using the Aged Papers.
You’ll want to apply Perfect Plaster over a previously painted surface, don’t use it directly onto a piece of furniture that hasn’t been painted with at least one coat of our paints or a primer. Make sure your surface is clean and dry before applying. You can brush or roll, whats cool is rolling the first coat then blading (scraping with trowel or plastic blade_ over it when it dries. You’ll see the little brown particles bust open as you ‘scrape’ it – that’s the product releasing it’s bit of natural color. When dry, you can lightly sand, you can wax directly over it, you can seal right over it, or you can glaze, but make sure its dry first, and water down your glaze 25-50% as it will wash on easier.
For a wall finish, you’ll want to order a gallon, for furniture or decorative projects like aged papers, the 8 ounce and 16 ounce are perfect options.
